With an aging main site, building and managing events and resources was becoming a tall task for the CHF BC team. Our project work was scoped around simplifying the CMS experience to allow the marketing and resource teams to easily build and modify their site without the restrictions of their old, regulated infrastructure.

Overview

From Top to Bottom

With this being a brand new platform under the Co-operative Housing Federation of BC brand umbrella, we were provided general guidelines on colors and imagery to act as our north star. With that in mind, we created a brand new web experience while still staying underneath the CHF BC visual identity.

Bespoke for the Long-Term

With the goal of keeping the system within the WordPress sphere - particularly dedicated to managing data and security all within Canada - we built out a brand new Sage-themed site with ACF Blocks. That included an entire 'block library' for the internal marketing team to build and grow the site, making template-based restrictions a thing of the past.

In closing

Results

With hundreds of documents exported, tagged, and successfully migrated, alongside the full rebuild of the "Model Rules 2.0" system, a robust mega-menu - intuitive on both Desktop and Mobile devices - we launched the site in early 2025 with great feedback from the co-op housing communities.
